Another of Bowmores experimental cask finishes and one we haven’t seen too often . As with the First bottling in this series Bowmore Dusk, this Bowmore was matured for 12 years in ex-bourbon casks with a two year finish in port pipes. 2005 saw the release of the first in a trilogy of Bowmore whisky bottled at the same age. but with different cask types that let the wood do the talking. First out was this 16 year old vintage distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2005 this Bowmore expression was bottled using 134 predominantly bourbon casks.
